My Experience at the Empower Her Future Award Ceremony

I applied to participate in the Empower Her Future Campaign and after numerous tasks, I managed to secure a spot in the Top 6. I was then invited to attend the Empower Her Future Award Ceremony, which was held on the 30th of August 2024. I was grateful and excited for my business to be recognized in another province.

The award ceremony was hosted at a lovely venue in Emalahleni. On arrival, I received a warm welcome and sat outside as I waited for the award ceremony to commence. We received great hospitality and refreshments while we waited. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

We were then later welcomed into the venue, and all the top 6 candidates were seated together. We were greeted by a lovely programme director who made sure the program flowed seamlessly. Each candidate had the opportunity of presenting their business and outlining why they should win the prize.

The ceremony was well curated, and each speaker shared helpful tools that would help grow [our businesses]. Every detail, from the music to the food, was well executed. The campaign and the ceremony were centred around women empowerment and women in business; the objective was indeed achieved.

What an honour and privilege to be part of such an insightful and empowering event. Thank you once again for the wonderful opportunity and time.
