August is an important month in South
Africa’s history. As a woman, the campaign
reminded me of the women who marched to the Union Buildings in 1956 paving the way for me to find myself in spaces that empower and unite women. Being in the same room with Female CEOs and leaders, amplified my inner voice that; it is possible, I can also be a successful CEO.
The award ceremony was hosted at a lovely venue in Emalahleni. On arrival, I received a warm welcome and sat outside as I waited for the award ceremony to commence. We received great hospitality and refreshments while we waited. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
This year’s event, themed “Celebrating 30 Years of Democracy Towards Women’s Development,” reflected on the progress and challenges women face in various sectors.
As our Empower Her Future campaign progresses, we are excited to announce that twelve outstanding women-led companies have been shortlisted to advance to the next stage of the competition.
